Consumer Complaint: On XX/XX/XXXX WAKEFIELD & ASSOCIATES posted on my credit report a late payment and collections account. Never recieived a phone call or letter from them for XX/XX/XXXX until XX/XX/XXXX when they reported to credit bureau. On XX/XX/XXXX I faxed a letter to verify the debt with them. On XX/XX/XXXX called and verified they had received my fax and it would be a week or 2 before they would be sending out verification. They stated they are having issues getting information to verify my debt with the original party. Contacted XXXX XXXX XXXX/XXXX the original party and they have no account for me by name or ssn.
