Consumer Complaint: Procollect Collections : On XX/XX/XXXX I paid my account, in full, in the amount of {$1300.00}. On that day I was told, via phone, that I would receive a paid in full letter. When I called to check on the status of my paid in full letter, I was told that I would NOT be receiving a paid in full letter because they ” found ” another account from an apartment dating back to XX/XX/XXXX. This account was NEVER reported on my credit report nor did I ever receive notice of another delinquent account. Procollect never mailed me anything, even after receiving an updated address for me. My money was taken, but it was not used to fulfill my VALID debt obligation. Instead, it was split between two different accounts, once of which, is NOT valid.
