Consumer Complaint: I went to XXXX for 2 years – from XXXX through XXXX, graduating XXXX XXXX. I utilized student loans directly through UTI as well as Fed XXXX. When I graduated, I paid off all of the student loans – however, XXXX did n’t have information from Fed Loan at the time so they were not included when I paid off all other student loans ( XXXX XXXX was the servicer — nearly {$40000.00} ). In XXXX XXXX – Fed XXXX called to let me know I was delinquent on XXXX loans. I had no idea these were outstanding. Fed XXXX indicated that it happens quite a bit – that XXXX deferred the loans for a year – then submitted for repayment. I immediately made payment arrangements – and they indicated that they would put the delinquent payments into forbearance and would be paid at the end of the term. New payment schedule was made beginning XXXX XXXX – which I have been current on every month.

When I applied for a home loan I found out that Fed XXXX incorrectly labeled my credit as delinquent over 150 days! I immediately called them and was told to file a dispute through their web site – which I promptly did. They ” corrected ” the status to read XXXX, but was 90+ days delinquent from XXXX XXXX – which was not correct, in addition to what Fed XXXX told me they would report.

Fed XXXX will not change the status – they are being deceptive in how they treated me and are unwilling to accommodate my requests. My credit score has been hindered significantly through no fault of my own.

Please let me know if you need any documentation – I can provide anything you might need to correct this false credit reporting.
