Consumer Complaint: I purchased a used vehicle on XXXX XXXX XXXX less than a week later on XXXX XXXX XXXX, I discovered the car developed an engine tick.

I brought the car back to the dealership for them to repair the vehicle, they told me it needed a new timing belt, water pump, and tensioner, they charged me {$500.00} for the work which I later found out was NEVER done, the car was picked up on XXXX XXXX under the assumption it had been fixed.

On XXXX XXXX, the engine overheated blowing the radiator on the car. After taking it to a dealership to determine what was TRULY going on with the car. I was informed that the radiator blowing was caused by a warped engine block and ignition coils were firing into the cooling system which caused the car to overheat and blow. They found no evidence of a repair to the timing belt or water pump, the only thing they found was an obscene amount of stopleak in the cooling system which was put in by XXXX to stop the engine tick but caused the radiator to ultimately explode in the end.

The reason for my CFPB complaint. Was that I called Credit Concepts before getting any repairs done on the car, before I made a down payment, and before I was actually obligated to pay for this car they lied to me over the phone and told me I was, they said that if I did n’t pay my payment because I could n’t afford the over 10k in repairs on a XXXX car, they told me they would sue me, garnish my checks and damage my credit if I failed to make a payment. I told them over the phone that the dealership lied to them and I never gave a down payment and they still refused to work with me and just continued to keep threatening to sue me, garnish my wages, ruin my credit, and make my life miserable. I am now over 17k in debt for the repairs on this car and the loan itself. The car is only worth less than $ 2k USD with the blown engine it was sold with. I have attached a picture of my phone call history and hi lighted the 3 calls made where they continuously threaten me and refuse to work with me. This entire business is built and run off of ruining innocent people ‘s credit. I told them I had a less than XXXX XXXX XXXX infant they put my life and my child ‘s life in danger.

I was told by Credit Concepts that all calls are recorded and stored, if they are refusing and denying having access to the calls hi lighted in the attached documents they are purging and deleting evidence.
