Consumer Complaint: My student loans are currently in Forbearance and I called Navient XX/XX/17 at XXXX XXXX to get a lower payment agreement made because my forbearance ends this month. I spoke to a pleasant young lady and I told her that I am certainty unable to pay {$1200.00} a month for my student loans.

I told her how much that I knew for sure that I was able to pay and she told me that that the least I could pay was about {$480.00} a month. I told her that I was unable to pay that amount per month and she told me that I could make a payment of any amount, however if they payment is lower than the required amount then it would still be considered past due. She did offer the forbearance option and I declined. I do not want to prolong paying my student loans Excuse me, how are you telling me what I can and can not pay. I am trying to give this company money for a payment, however it is not enough to their liking. I have Grad school loans and undergraduate school loans with Navient and I am willing to pay a certain amount, just not the {$480.00}
