Consumer Complaint: Multiple automated calls from ” Weinberg Mediation Group ” since XX/XX/XXXX claiming of taking legal action against me with no reference to what the actual case was and no option to speak to a representative.

On XX/XX/XXXX I awoke to an automated call at XXXX. Agitated, I called back and spoke to a representative. They told me they were calling to collect on a debt I had. I informed them that they were in violation of the Fair Debt Collections Practices Act. They replied it should be XXXX where I lived and I told them that was incorrect and that I live in Alaska. They attempted to defend their automated call by claiming they have an Arizona phone number and address on file for me. I told them that was irrelevant because my new address is publicly available via credit report and it ‘s their responsibility to verify information prior to calling to ensure that they ‘re not in violation of the law. Representative claimed to take note that I lived in Alaska and I ended the call.

On XX/XX/XXXX, I received yet another automated call prior to XXXX, XXXX XXXX to be exact. Called the number back and attempted to abrasively tell them that it was the second time they were in violation of FDCPA and if it happened a 3rd time I would pursue whatever action I could for them being in violation of the law and harassing me. The representative proceeded to talk over me eventually stating that he was ” was moving forward with the case against me ”, ” good luck ”, and proceeded to hang up on me.
