Consumer Complaint: I just feel so disappointed big banks like BOA are ripping poor people like me. I tried so hard back in 2016 to get hold of someone in BOA to resolve this matter. What ‘s sad is this real time resolution reported delinquent note is post closing of property with XXXX balance? I do n’t even think that ‘s in compliance. I had BOA mail me this note after closing to sign and they even told me they forgot to get my signature at closing. And with advice of my coworkers at XXXX XXXX that any balance should have been disclosed at closing, I just discarded the 3 notes they repeatedly sent me to my apartment. Then after a few months I started getting calls from real time resolutions for {$2000.00} note. I received written notice after they reported it on my credit. When I asked them for proof of signed docs they sent a doc with my signature! But I did n’t sign that for sure. When I finally got hold of someone in BOA short sale dept they said they had mailed the {$2000.00} cashiers check paid by me at closing back to XXXX XXXX XXXX. When I asked them why would they do that, they said a lady called in as me ( identity theft ) on the phone to send the check back and since BOA did n’t know where to apply the {$2000.00} cashiers check that was pd at closing, they mailed it back! HOW DOES A BANK NOT KNOW WHERE TO APPLY A CASHIERS CHECK THAT WAS COLLECTED AT CLOSING > THAT CHECK SHOULD NEVER HAVE BEEN SENT BACK. I remember signing a {$2000.00} check for my ex-husband from BOA and at that time, I thought it was some escrow acct balance refund because I never expected this stupidity on the bank side.
