Consumer Complaint: I received a call from XXXX XXXX XXXX around XX/XX/XXXX. The person on the phone said I had a XXXX XXXX Card debt of {$890.00} dollars and the card was associated with XXXX XXXX, my employer. I used my XXXX card for making travel reservations to XXXX XXXX prior to XX/XX/XXXX. The card was issued by Bank of America. I went on medical XXXX leave on XX/XX/XXXX due to a personal injury I suffered on that day. I cancelled the reservations within 10 days of my injury to avoid paying any penalties for not using the services paid for with the XXXX card. Sometime after my injury, my employer switched from Bank of America to another issuer, who I guess is XXXX XXXX. I never opened an account with the new issuer since I was on medical leave and told by my employer to not engage in any employee related work efforts. Hence, I never knew of any charges to the XXXX card.
When XXXX XXXX XXXX called me about a debt for {$890.00}, I was mystified about it. I told them I would check into it. I checked my last known XXXX account, from Bank Of America, I owe them nothing. I think this charge of {$890.00} is a false charge.
