Consumer Complaint: On XX/XX/17 I received a voice mail from a person who refused to identify himself. He said this is about a ” theft ” that I committed and needs to be taken out of my checking account. i called the number listed XXXX, the person that answered said the company is XXXX, and they work with Citibank. He said I need to settle the account or I will be taken to court this week, for theft. My outstanding balance was $ XXXXplus on a credit card and if I pay {$2000.00}, i would avoid court appearance. I told him, I dont have that money, and he stated ” Fine, youre going to court ” and hung up.
