Consumer Complaint: This company XXXX XXXX XXXX is using some real shady tactics here, let me tell you. I found out about this debt from my credit report. I was never ever informed on this debt, I have n’t needed XXXX XXXX since I left a fixer upper home in XX/XX/XXXX. Somehow the new tenants got the power back on in my name, probably because bills were still coming there for power.I have contacted XXXX and they will do zero to fix this, said to call the cops. I did and they said it was 7 years ago so they cant do anything. This was put on my report as current, and went delinquent in XX/XX/XXXX. Which in fact is false. It went delinquent in XX/XX/XXXX. I disputed this charge, said the balance history was incorrect. They updated and said it is not. It is not fair that these companies can out and out lie when you dispute things. If this is not fixed or deleted I will be contacting a lawyer for damages. a XX/XX/XXXX delinquency hurts my credit FAR MORE then the correct age of XX/XX/XXXX. This is not fair to the consumer and they should be fined!!!!! I have called them even to notify them of their error and they refuse to fix this. The below Bill shows my last payment was XX/XX/XXXX and they said it was partial. Acct was put delinquent XX/XX/XXXX Power was Shut off and XX/XX/XXXX
