Consumer Complaint: A few problems Initially it was hard to get information on loan balance for approximately a year to year and a half. Navigation of the phone system was very difficult. Also, when I called the representative either did n’t answer or ne it was difficult to get the balance. Only when I became frustrated and spoke more sternly or called back or asked to speak to a manger would I get a proper answer.
Had issues where I paid extra on the account and they never applied it to the loan but applied it to the next payment. I called a few times and finally gave up.
I never received a bill since Navient took over my loan. With XXXX XXXX I had a booklet and a way to find out what my daily balance of each loan was.
After the first year or year and a half of them owning my loan Navient took steps to better the phone procedures and later created the website where I could check this information.
