Consumer Complaint: I have a large student loan debt with Navient ( formerly XXXX XXXX ) due to going to medical school. I understand having to pay interest on all loans, however, I do not understand how over the last six years since being done with residency, I have paid a total of {$180000.00}, {$150000.00} of which has gone to interest and only {$32000.00} toward principal.
Over these last six years the yearly amount of principal paid is as follows : XX/XX/XXXX : {$6400.00} XX/XX/XXXX : {$860.00} ( yes, this is correct ; less than one thousand dollars ) XX/XX/XXXX : {$6100.00} XX/XX/XXXX : {$7300.00} XX/XX/XXXX : {$2600.00} XX/XX/XXXX : {$9200.00} I ‘m happy to include any documents needed.

Having this large debt persist has prevented me from being able to purchase a home and, hence, I have been losing money in rent.

In XX/XX/XXXX, I wrecked/totaled my vehicle and had difficulty getting approval for a new one.

I ‘m desperate for help in this matter and the idea/hope for some form of resolution to this.
