Consumer Complaint: My father and aunt had a joint account with Santander Bank that funded a safety deposit box. Both of the people have since passed and I returned the safety deposit box keys.i have also written Santander multiple letters stating the box was closed, the keys were returned and both of the people on the account are dead. not only are they still trying to collect, but they are no billing me for XX/XX/XXXX until XX/XX/XXXX!!! They will NOT STOP trying to bill me for something I rectified and communicated to them YEARS AGO! they are trying to assess a late fee on me too. if they stopped ignoring my letters this would have been done away with two ( 2 ) years ago when I closed the account! I feel harrassed since they ignore my letters and are now trying to charge me with late fees and now billing me for another year when they XXXX well know BOTH ACCOUNT HOLDERS ARE XXXX! XXXX for 7 years and XXXX for 3 years! Come on!!!
