Consumer Complaint: I am a XXXX XXXX in XXXX XXXX. I have student loans through navient for my XXXX. I have been contacting the program for the past 2 months about processing a deferment for my loans. They have continually placed obstacles ( e.g. saying forms are n’t legible, that previous customer service representatives I spoke with did not document requests, etc ). Recently I submitted a third deferment form 2 weeks ago. I called on day 14 asking for an update on the processing which I was told would be 5-7 business days. They then told me the form was again not legible so I was put on hold only to have them state that there was a mistake and the form was actually legible. So I was told in about 3 days from the call the form would be processed and a decision on deferment would be made.
After three days passed, I called and was told that the request for form processing three days prior was n’t put through and only that my complaint was put through about wanting my form expedited. So the next person I spoke to said that if I did n’t hear back next week to call. It is now been 2.5 months of me trying to have a one page form with 14 lines of information processed to defer my loans during XXXX. This has been an impossible task and I really hope this is heard..
