Issue: Struggling to repay your loan

Consumer Complaint: I have been repaying the student loan for about 4 years now after it was left to go delinquent by the other party on the loan. Navient has been steadily raising the interest rate on the loan, now over 12 %. I have made multiple requests to have the interest rate lowered and those requests have been denied. Such a high interest rate ensure ‘s that I will likely default on this loan and ruin my credit. I have attempted to renegotiate this loan with other companies such as XXXX but since it is not in my name I am not allowed to subsume the loan. The other party on the loan has such poor credit they would not be allowed transfer the loan to a new account.
