Consumer Complaint: I have attempted to get XXXX XXXX XXXX to remove this account from my credit files on multiple occassions. I have requested to relieve the original application and copy of my drivers license. I have been told by them that they do not have that information. That I would have to contact XXXX XXXX directly. They are aware that when I try to contact XXXX XXXX their automated system transfers me to XXXX XXXX there ‘s is no way for me to contact XXXX XXXX directly to request the information. I contend that XXXX XXXX never verified my identity before opening a credit card account. It was XXXX XXXX XXXX responsibility to verify my identity before opening an account. Because they did not verify my identity when they opened the account, the account is void and must be removed from all of my credit files. Every time I request this basic information from capital one I am sent a fraud affidavit, or a copy of a billing statement, they refuse to send me the information I am requesting. I am requesting that they send me the original application and copy of my drivers license that they have to keep in file, if they can not provide me with this information request, then the account is void and must be removed from my credit file.
