Consumer Complaint: The school attended was University XXXX XXXX XXXX campus ( online ) and I was not given the option to obtain a federal loan. The University XXXX XXXX XXXX campus only offered XXXX XXXX ( Navient ) loans and I was under the belief that in order to obtain a XXXX degree that I would have to take out a loan from XXXX XXXX ( Navient ). There was no other option outside of not going to school. I am questioning whether XXXX XXXX ( Navient ) and University XXXX XXXX have a business relationship in which students are strong armed into applying for a XXXX XXXX loan ( Navient ) because there are no other options.
My second issue is the high interest rate that XXXX XXXX charges ; my payments are directed to my interest and not my balance so at that rate I will never remotely pay off my student loans. I will also question XXXX XXXX ( Navient ) payment policy. I have contacted Navient in order to try to work out a settlement or a way to relieve the burden and they are unwilling to assist me in anyway. That is why I am not filing a complaint.
