Consumer Complaint: As a result of a drunk driver hitting our children and totaling our daughter ‘s truck the Insurance company paid their portion and Ally contacted our GAP Company, XXXX directly instead of allowing us to do it. XXXX paid the balance Ally provided and now Ally is sending us an additional balance which is accruing interest and the phone calls are incessant.
First, why would Ally contact XXXX instead of allowing us to file a claim?
Second, why would Ally not send the proper payoff. The balance has doubled and it is negatively affecting our credit.
Ally Acct # XXXX Accident XX/XX/XXXX XXXX Claim # XXXX XX/XX/XXXX Balance after insurance payout XXXX paid on GAP claim- {$200.00} Ally claiming we still owe {$100.00}. Now with interest up to {$200.00}.
