Consumer Complaint: A bill that I owe XXXX XXXX XXXX was sold to RPM by XXXX XXXX XXXX. RPM was calling me approximately 10 times a day. I expressed to them that they were calling me while I was at work. yet they continued to call all day. When I talked to them on the phone they told me that if I did not set up a payment plan they were going to turn the bill over to an attorney and report it to the credit agencies. I told them when they expressed this that they violated the Fair Debt Collections Act. The person on the phone told me that he did not know that company.. I had to explain it to them. I asked numerous times for them to send me a paper statement so that I could put it into my bills and get it into my home budget so I could make payments. It took them 2 months to send me a bill. When I called to try and make a payment over the phone they said that they would not accept any payment that was less than {$500.00}. They refused to accept any lesser amounts twice and I was told that if I was to pay any less than that I needed to send a check. As soon as I received the bill I sent a check. They now have reported on my credit report as ” Collections ”. I have no other derogatory remarks on my credit report other than from a company that is impossible to work with, I did not even have an address to send a payment to for nearly 2 months.
