Issue: Attempts to collect debt not owed
Consumer Consent Provided to Share Complaint: Consent provided
Consumer Complaint: XXXX XXXX card services bought my XXXX XXXX account which should have been discharged in a bankruptcy that was discharged in XX/XX/XXXX. The account was correctly updated on XXXX and XXXX, but XXXX XXXX will not correctly update EXPERIAN, nor will Experian follow suit with the correct information being reported to XXXX and XXXX. I have disputed through Experian and the results were ” account verified ”. Again, this account was discharged in a Chapter XXXX. As of XX/XX/XXXX, this account continues to report to Experian and now states the account is 150 days late. This is damaging not only my credit rating, but also causing unnecessary stress.
XXXX XXXX refuses to delete inaccurate information from Experian, and they continue to harass me with phone calls despite my communication via Experian ( disputes ) that the debt was discharged. Furthermore, I informed Experian that XXXX and XXXX had the same account information reporting correctly, but Experian refuses to follow suit.
Thank you for your assistance.
