Issue: Attempts to collect debt not owed

Consumer Complaint: XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX calls me several times a week. It is a recording and they leave me a voice mail saying they are trying to collect a debt. When I call in, they say there is no record attached to my phone number ( the one they call several times a week and leave me voice messages on ). I have asked them to stop calling. This has literally been going on for months. The young man I talk to repeatedly there says there is nothing they can do to stop the calls.???? So, they can not tell me why they are calling and they will not stop calling. I do not have a clue how to resolve this since this company has no way to remove my number from their records even though they do not have any debts attached to my number. How is this even possible? It would seem if they can repeatedly call me weekly, they could track where they are getting my number.
