The collection agency has not provided me with written dunning notification of this alleged debt within the 5 day timeframe mandated by FDCPA section 809 ( b ). Without prior notification I was not given the opportunity to have the debt verified nor validated as belonging to me. As a result of the reporting, my credit scores with both bureaus suffered a 20 point drop at a time when I was in the process of completing applications for new credit.
