Consumer Complaint: I had bought a Coton De tulear breed dog from XXXX XXXX in XXXX Illinois almost a year ago. I inderstood that the animal had cost around {$1500.00} and we agreed to payment plans. After a while of losing our jobs we couldnt make payments, fees started adding up, and the account went to collections with Monterey Financial ( Which I do not believe is a collection agency ). A short bit ago we have been making our payments to the ” collection agency ” they claim to be with no supervisor and the only person I can speak to is my account holder. Our balance was {$2000.00} as of XX/XX/. We made a payment of {$200.00} on the same day. They then told me my balance was {$1900.00} which is not minus {$200.00}. So I made another {$200.00} payment on XX/XX/ and my balance was {$1700.00}. So I made another payment 2 weeks later od {$200.00} and I had seen they only took {$100.00} from me. They said ” we charge a {$20.00} processing fees and you owed {$50.00} in misc. fees. ” So I said ” Okay so after all fees are paid {$130.00} shouldve went to my total balnce left and you guys only took {$100.00}. Where is the other {$30.00}? And she said ” Not sure where you have been getting these quotes from but noone has quoted your payments at all do I will quote this one today. ” They keep charging me {$20.00} processing fee, and only putting {$100.00} towards my account balance and Im not sure where my other money went. Also, we have paid almost {$700.00} since we started our first payment and they said we have not and they cant believe me because noone has been quoting my payments. I want this place shut down, my money back, or something done because they keep taking my money and lieing about where it is going. If you look at customer reviews, everybody says the same thing. They refuse to dorect me to a supervisor and keep telling me they arent aure where im getting my ” total balance ” after payments from hence nobody quoting my payments. As a company of the account you would think they would quote everything. Please do something about this.
