Consumer Complaint: So at XXXX I received an incoming cal on my cell from ( XXXX ) XXXX the female on the phone Identified herself as being with Checksmart Corporate office. I don’t believe she even provided her name. But she did verify my personal information for her. The call started fine but when I advised her that I would not be able to pay anything by the end of the month she started to raise her voice in what I could only describe as frustration. She advised in a punitive way that calls would continue, advised judgment and wage garnishment. I advised her that I would like the address to send a Cease and Desist letter she advised I couldn’t do that because customer service was the only department that could do that. I advised her that I would like to speak with a manager at which she acknowledged and then I can only assume she hung up. I called from my cell at XXXX XXXX to the number ( XXXX ) XXXX and I got the same female I had spoken with earlier which she only identified herself as corporate office and never identified herself. I advised that I didn’t appreciate being hung up on at which she responded that she had mistakenly disconnected the call. I advised her that she works on the phones for a living you think you would not have that problem. To which she responded angrily and I had at this point asked for a manger a few times and she hung up on me again. I called again from my cell to the number ( XXXX ) XXXX at XXXX XXXX and this time I spoke with a male XXXX who I verified my personal information. I spoke with him about the abusive behavior I experienced with his coworker. He advised he sat next to the female I was having issues with and at that time provided her name as XXXX and proceeded to make the excuse that there has been phone problems. I advised him that I was interested in sending in a Cease and Desist to which he responded with getting it processed immediately. XXXX was very helpful in resolving the Cease and Desist issue in a professional manner.
