Consumer Complaint: I received communication from XXXX XXXX about a debt from XXXX on XX/XX/18. I immediately called as they are not the first collection agency to contact me about this debt to inform them this is not my debt. I was unable to speak with anyone in debt about the account because my information didn’t match the information they had on file. I explained that XXXX closed the account and was sued for collection attempts and as they were 100 % aware it was a fraud account and the debt is not mine, no signature, not the correct address and i was able to prove to them it was opened under fraud circumstances, etc so I have no clue why they sold a bad debt to them, The lady stated all they can do is cease communication nonetheless the account has appeared on my credit.
