Issue: False statements or representation

Consumer Consent Provided to Share Complaint: Consent provided

Consumer Complaint: On XX/XX/XXXX, I sent a letter to XXXX ( XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX ) in regards to providing me with information to validate the said account which is reporting on my credit report as {$8000.00}. The problem is the letter that was sent back to me in response to my letter stated I owed {$7100.00} and also shows a different account # than what is reporting on my credit report. The letter from XXXX also states that they verified the charges with their client and based on their research it is correct. How can it be correct when there is a {$940.00} discrepancy among the reporting on the credit report and the letter I received. An itemized statement was also sent stating that my move out date was XX/XX/13 when I moved out in XX/XX/2013 with a 60 day notice. Then on the itemized statement it states {$2200.00} for pre-termination charges but the charges are on there twice. From my understanding anything that is reported on my credit report needs to be accurate and varifiable and right now this account is not accurate nor verifiable.
