Consumer Complaint: I paid XXXX the owed amount of {$55.00} on XX/XX/XXXX via my bank.
XXXX will not recognize my payment. Twice I provided XXXX a copy of the cancelled, endorsed check as proof of my payment. I also spoke with a XXXX representative who informed me that my case had been ” elevated ” for review. I requested XXXX to stop sending me dunning notices. The representative told me that it was not possible for XXXX to stop sending the dunning notices and I should just ignore any future notices as my matter was in review. Even so, my case was turned over by XXXX to a collection agency, CMC. I spoke with a representative of CMC and explained that I paid the amount on XX/XX/XXXX. She said that I needed to mail XXXX a copy of the check. She was unable to verify my payment. I mailed a copy of the check on XX/XX/XXXX to demonstrate proof of payment.
