Consumer Complaint: My loans were originally through XXXX XXXX XXXX ( XXXX ) which I believe to be a branch of XXXX XXXX XXXX. ( I got all my loans through XXXX XXXX. ) I have faithfully paid my student loans for the past ten years. I received information in XX/XX/XXXX saying that Navient would be buying my loans. I did not receive a reason. I did not receive anything that asked me if this was okay. I simply received a letter saying that Navient would be buying my student loans. I called XXXX to find out what was going on only for them to tell me that they would still be servicing my loans and not to worry about it. On XX/XX/XXXX, Navient sent out a letter to me saying that they tried to mail me documents that were sent back to them. My address has been unchanged for five years. XXXX has had no trouble contacting me. Not only that but I then received a bill and a past due notice from Navient Dated for XXXX. I had already paid my XXXX bill which still has my loans on it. When reading the Navient bill, I discovered that Navient only purchased one of my loans, not all. Which was not stated in any correspondence from them. I called AES and they were very dismissive and arrogant. Upon calling Navient on XX/XX/XXXX, they informed me that I would no longer be paying XXXX for that loan, which I know is a lie. They demanded that I pay them. And said that they updated my address on XX/XX/XXXX of XXXX to my address. I have no idea what address they had. Clearly something shady is going on here. I am not going to pay Navient when I have already paid AES. I still do not understand why they would buy a loan I was paying on. I had not defaulted on it. This seems like a way for them to make up losses for court cases they have lost in the past. I am refusing to deal with Navient or give them my personal information because I was not involved in the process of them buying my good loan. Thank you, XXXX XXXX
