Reader Raises Concerns About Credit Repair Group Cyber Hack Notch

By on June 19, 2018

A reader sent in the following information about a company that purports to be a credit repair company named Cyber Hack Notch.

“This is a company I looked into to help with credit repair. Apparently, they use “ethical hacking,” they have minimal information on their website, I received an email from them between the hours of 11p.m. and 1 a.m. in response to my inquiry, and they wanted me to download a Telegram messaging app from the App store in order to send them information from credit karma or a similar service in order to “evaluate my needs” They also sent me screen shots of their “recent jobs” that included names, addresses, and work history of previous clients (all of which are pictured in their VERY Short youtube video which is basically text and pictures to a Lana Del Rey song…. they almost got me with the song…) In all seriousness though, it sounds way too good to be true, “ethical hacking” to fix my credit… I don’t think so. Can you look into this? I am attaching the pictures they sent me via email. Thanks.”

The pictures the reader attached showed the names and addresses of consumers, I’ve had to block the information out in red below to even show you one of the images.

Using the same information that you can find in my free guides I took a quick look at the company.

The website of a company named Cyber Hack Notch is at cyberhacknotch.com.

According to the kind people at DomainTools.com the domain name was registered on July 14, 2017.

The public registration says the domain is owned by a Liam Moore.

However, the website for the company is reported to be hosted in Holland.

Domain Tools a Liam Moore is also associated with the following domain names:

The website of Cyber Hack Notch does not say where the company is located but some of the content of the site reads more European in a couple of places.

They describe themselves by saying, “Reputable Credit Repair Company; Our experienced experts are trained in consumer debt management, budgeting, protection laws etc helping you resolve items on your credit report in the fastest and most effective way possible. Every credit situation is unique—that’s why we’ve created Focus Steps, a personalized solution that targets one of five main areas: student loans, military service, identity theft, medical expenses and Divorce.”

These items caught my eye.

A testimonial allegedly from a Peter James uses the picture of an attorney in New York. I have contacted the attorney to ask if he is aware of his images use.

The next testimonial uses the picture of Nick Johnson, America’s first Pokémon Go master.

I uncovered so much more but what’s the point. Even in just a few minutes, enough red flags were raised to create a number of questions that could use answers and clarifications.

Tried him out. Total scam. Had me on the hook for four days purporting to help be recover some hacked cryptocurrencies I lost . Sent me random videos of geek tech gobbledygook Then hit me with it . Needed a tool version that he didn’t have for the ‘last step’ Sad I’d have to buy it for $1020.99. That sealed it for me. He refused the suggestion of buying it himself and adjusting it against the fee for recovering my funds . I have screen grabs of the chats
