Consumer Complaint: The actions against me was taken by XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX, who has now sold the debt to Meridian Financial Services for XXXX, and XXXX. This is a time share in XXXX, XXXX, that I have NEVER owned, NEVER used and has probably been sold to several people. The event was in summer of XX/XX/XXXX-XX/XX/XXXX ( approx. ) I cancelled this account approx. within a few months due to unforeseen circumstances of me loosing my job and loosing my home. They ( XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX ), is famously known in the time share world as a scam and a fraud. They will promise you the world and deliver nothing. As much as you try to speak to somebody to cancel, they ignore you and threaten to send you to collections if payment isn’t done in full. I called and even went to an office in XXXX, Nevada, and they said they would cancel it ( this was in about XX/XX/XXXX ) and they ( XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX ) has now has placed 2 collection accounts on my credit report, ( XX/XX/XXXX ). These prohibit me from being able to rent a home or an apartment, requiring me to have a cosigner. Both of the accounts placed on my credit report are the same people, same company for different amounts. Why different amounts? I am unsure. This also had me in a tight spot on purchasing a vehicle. I need to know how I can correct this, and have it removed from my credit report.
