Consumer Complaint: I was previously over charged for my monthly payment by Navient in the amount of {$550.00} on XX/XX/XXXX. In addition to the {$550.00} they deducted the original payment out of my checked out in the amount of {$280.00} on XX/XX/XXXX. The amount of {$280.00} is my standard monthly payment through Navient. However, when I contacted customer service about the additional charge of {$550.00}, I was told it would be credited to my checking out. I was told my account would be credited within 24-48 hours. On XX/XX/XXXX, I contacted customer service again to see the status of the credit, as they said it looks like the proper codes were not put into the system, therefore the credit did not get approved. I was told the credit was submitted again. At this time, they took my checking account information to expedite the process and the supervisor I spoke to in collections stated it would be an additional 24-48 hours. On XX/XX/XXXX, I contacted Navient again to see the status of my credit of {$550.00}. This was my second time speaking with a supervisor. I was told that the credit can take anywhere from 3-5 days to be approved. On XX/XX/XXXX, I spoke with Navient supervisor and was told that the credit was approved on XX/XX/XXXX and that they are done on their behalf to check with my bank. This has been over 20 days that I have been waiting to have a credit in the amount of {$550.00} to my account, as it was Navient who made the mistake of taking that amount in addition to the set monthly amount. I am extremely frustrated that this has been treated as if {$550.00} is not a significant amount. I have been struggling to make ends meet within the last few weeks because of a mistake on their behalf.
