Consumer Complaint: To whom it may concern : I original applied for a Bank of America XXXX University card sometime around 2012. I had this credit card in great standing and as time went by kept my account always up to date paying more than the required payment due and in advance. Upon having other personal credit cards when I would call in they would always ask would you like to consolidate we are running a promotion to which I always said no. Then one day thy started saying well we see here where you owe XXXX XXXX $ yada yada, and you owe this card and that card and would read off my credit card names without me telling them and apparently even had the account numbers so they could send the payments direct. Troubled by this I would say no I would think about it. This happened quite often almost on a monthly basis until one time I bit. After which although I had kept ALL my accounts in order and paid they CANCELLED every card with NO warning!! I wrote to them and received no reply so I immediately called and they said you have too many cards and debt and cut me off. But all my debts were paid on time! Credit Rating was 730-740! Now after all this time I am struggling to pay them. I have repeatedly called to request help with paying it off and they would not help. I have still contacted to make payments and make payments but {$500.00} is the payment and {$490.00} goes to the interest!!! Please help I know I am NOT the only one who was duped by this consolidation trap!!
