Consumer Complaint: About XX/XX/XXXX, I was informed on a credit report that I had an outstanding debt from XXXX Cable Company for {$180.00}. The information about my name, address, and last digits of my social security number were incorrect. Around this time, I had been a victim of identity theft. I completed a police report, which named the debt collections company, XXXX XXXX, on XX/XX/XXXX. The police investigation dated XX/XX/XXXX, ended with no results.

I wrote XXXX about the discrepancy on my report The reporting Bureau since placed this account in ” dispute. ” They also placed my name, address, and last digits of my soc. sec. number in ” dispute. ” Despite the fact that XXXX eventually reported the account is ” deleted ” from my report on XX/XX/XXXX, I continue to be contacted by collection agencies. I sent a letter to all the credit bureaus — XXXX, XXXX, and XXXX — dated XX/XX/XXXX to reinvestigate the disputed debt or delete it completely according to the provisions of the Fair Credit Reporting Act.
I am currently still trying to resolve this matter, which impacts my credit for {$180.00}.
