Consumer Complaint: I have disputed a debt with Experian 5 times with a response that the account being reported on credit report has been verified and is accurate. I called Experian today to ask them how they verifying the information is accurate and I was told by the agent that they verify with the company over the phone. I asked her if the are verifying with the number provided to me on my credit report and she said yes. I told her that I called thee number and its an incorrect number that the number provided is an automated service trying to sell me different things. She then provided me with an alternate number which I hung up and called the new number and its the same automated service trying to sell me things. I called Experian back and told my story again and told them I have disputed this account 5 times with them and even called the original creditor being reported with no records I owe this debt. I have sent multiple certified letters to Experian and XXXX and the company provided asking to be provided with viable evidence this is my account but I get nothing but an Experian agent telling me they verified the information by a phone number that is an incorrect number. It’s a scary thing that Experian hold my lively hood in their hands but the told a bold face lie. If they had verified the debt with the number the provided then they would know its a fraudulent account and I wouldn’t be dealing with this for over a year. The account being reported is XXXX XXXX XXXX with no account number provided and the address is incomplete and the phone numbers are incorrect. Please explain to me why this is being reported on my credit still?
