Product: Other debt

Issue: Attempts to collect debt not owed

Consumer Consent Provided to Share Complaint: Consent provided

Consumer Complaint: I was a XXXX customer from XX/XX/XXXX until XX/XX/XXXX. I then cancelled my services, paid my final bill, and returned all equipment. I initially found a collection account on my credit report in XX/XX/XXXX from XXXX, but being billed under XXXX XXXX, in the amount of {$360.00}. I immediately disputed the charges and it was confirmed as inaccurate and removed from my credit report on XX/XX/XXXX. The collection popped up on my credit report again under XXXX XXXX XXXX ( for XXXX ) in XX/XX/XXXX. I immediately disputed it again and once again it was found inaccurate and removed from my credit report. Then the same thing happened once again in XX/XX/XXXX and I have been fighting it ever since. I have been dealing with XXXX and Convergent ( the new creditor/collection agency ) and no one has been able to provide any proof that this debt it legitimate but refuses to remove it from my report. I asked for a copy of the supposed bill and received a copy of a bill that was for a billing cycle 2 months after my cancellation of services. None of the numbers match up and no one is willing to help me. I have attached a copy of the evidence they sent, it doesn’t make any sense at all.
