Consumer Complaint: On XX/XX/XXXX I contacted Tele-Check that my bank had sent back a check I wrote on XX/XX/XXXX for XXXX after I had deposited a check for XXXX into my acct to cover the check. I called them because my bank sent it back talking about holding my funds so they could collect as much interest on as much, I know this only caring about themselves not the customer. I spoke w/a XXXX-collector Desk XXXX at Tele-check, not to even go into how inappropriate this person was w/her personal opinions as oppose to sticking to the facts. The reference number for the call that I insisted on is XXXX. I called in advance to ward off them taking XXXX my acct because they could and the funds were there, this is WRONG. I believed this money would NOT be taken out after the call and heads up warning for the check did clear as XXXX and I discussed on XX/XX/XXXX. She tried to get me to pay another XXXX that day?? then they would have gotten XXXX from me, to earn interest and return to me at their will and leisure. Really, a manger needs to pull that call. On XX/XX/XXXX XXXX was taken out of my acct because they could and have access, the risks you run of writing a check these days!! It’s check number XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX.
Tele-check trace number XXXX. They should not be allowed to just capitalize off of ppl like this because my check WAS good and written in good faith. I had NO idea at the time of writing the check my bank would not honor after I knew I had the funds coming to cover.
