Consumer Complaint: on XX/XX/XXXX at XXXX XXXX I ( XXXX XXXX ) received on my cell phone a call from XXXX ( which is a local call out of XXXX XXXX, OK ). The recording stated ” there is a complaint against you and we want to rectify the complaint, please press 1 to take care of the complaint before it goes any further.
I pressed 1, then a lady came on the phone and asked for XXXX XXXX ( which is my husband ) she stated there was a collection from City Bank that has gone into collection ( this has nothing to do with a complaint ) it was a collection call. This was very misleading. I know my husband has not had a citi bank credit card since XX/XX/XXXX. she stated the last payment that as made was in XX/XX/XXXX, which I know is incorrect, because he was very ill then and was not taking care of his debts, he has XXXX and has not control over any credit cards. I myself filed bk on all the credit cards in XX/XX/XXXX. And all the credit cards were destroyed in XX/XX/XXXX. No additional payments were made on the card by him I know and I had not paid any payments on the account. I ask for proof that the card had payments on it and she just stated that she was going to collect on this debt and she would damage his credit and sue or we would have to provide her information on our property. First off the call was misleading stating there was a complaint, 2nd she had no business talking to me about his debt when I was not on the card and I advised her he was in a XXXX XXXX ( he is XXXX yrs old ) she would not provide me with any documentation, claim number or their address. She just made threats and stated she would be collecting on this account, I stated Good Luck and she hung up.
