Consumer Complaint: On XX/XX/18 I received notice from my credit monitoring services that a collection was placed on my credit reports, which significantly dropped my credit scores. I called Waypoint on XX/XX/18 which their office was closed. I called back onXX/XX/18 st XXXX EST and spoke with XXXX XXXX concetning removing the debt off my credit reports because I never received a letter nor a phone call. She informed me that she couldn’t remove the item unless I started the dispute process. I told her this debt was already satisfied with another collection agency who had already removed it from my credit reports. I again asked that this account be removed from my credit report because I wasn’t given proper notice and that I had the documentation to prove that I didnt owe it. I asked for an email address to send in my documentation, which she did provide ; however, she still stated she couldn’t remove the collection. I stated again that I never received notice and that it should be removed because that is the law! On XX/XX/18 I have emailed my receipt document to Waypoint and I’m awaiting their reply to my email.
