Consumer Complaint: On XX/XX/XXXX He capital retail bank states that I opened an account. Which is false I never opened this account. On XXXX the company states said account went into collections. In XX/XX/XXXX this company was sued and settled with you file number XXXX. In XX/XX/XXXX company changed its name from Ge capital retail bank to Synchrony bank. In XX/XX/XXXX XXXX said they acquired this account. On XX/XX/XXXX XXXX states they sent a notice of debt. The notice was never received by me. I was out of the country due to being a armed forces service member. The company states they did not receive a dispute or validation request within 30 days. This is because I was not in the county and never received said notice. If the company sent the notice certified they could have known I never received it.on XX/XX/XXXX the company states they sent me validation of debt which again was never received and i was again out of the country. I have been disputing this account for years. the company then sent me a validation copies of old bills with just a name and address. An address which I’ve never lived at and that reflects on my credit report. A name which shows over 189 people with the same name in XXXX FL. I would like a copy of the original application along with a signature page to show this debt is no mine and never has been. The account has already been removed from one credit report just waiting for the others. This is a stressful and unfair way of doing business. If you can not be sure that someone received a notice you should not be able to try and then throw a debt that doesn’t belong to them since you never received a dispute.
