Consumer Complaint: Good day, In XXXX I started the search for a house. My loan originator was going through details and accounts that are currently active and reporting to find out that an account that to my knowledge was closed back in XXXX was reporting as delinquent.
A brief summary : I started the process of a credit consolidation in XXXX for several accounts through a company called XXXX XXXX based in California. All the accounts were closed successfully, but somehow, the Citibank XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX ( one of the multiple account I was consolidating ) did receive payment in full for the amount agreed to settle of {$510.00}. This amount was paid in two installments, first one in the amount of {$310.00} ( check sent and cashed by creditor ) and a second payment in the amount of {$190.00} ( same as other, cashed by creditor as well ) I have already provided these details and a handwritten letter to Citibank Payment Investigation Department. However, I am still pending for a resolution that could take anywhere between 30 to 60 days … I HAVE TO WAIT?!?!?! I am trying to buy a house, and this account should have been closed in XXXX of XXXX. Now almost three years later, I am being treated rudely over phone ( worst costumer agents in general English speakers – Spanish agents are great ), I call to verify the received everything they have asked me for and they tell me they did not receive anything and that now i have to wait two months for a resolution.
Resolution is simple. They were paid in full in a timely manner and they are trying to collect more money from me. They are and have been affecting my credit score for three years now. I have been subject to highest APR for everything. I want compensation and immediate resolution. I have everything, details and proof of account being settled in a timely manner and that they received and cash their payments.
