Consumer Complaint: Extra principal payments did not go to principle. I was told that i qualified for the XXXX loan forgiveness program and since they mishandled my payments have not had to make a payment since XX/XX/2015. I have submitted several applications and called many time and they kept requesting more verification and told me every time that i qualified for the forgiveness on the phone but needed more verification letters that were not listed on the application. this last time after three years i was told that I no longer qualified. if their was a problem with my status it should have been disclosed to me on the first application. instead they strung me along for an extra three years of interest. the intent of the extra payments original were to pay down the balance. i let it go because they said the balance of my loan was going to be forgiven. I have worked over 10 years as a XXXX XXXX XXXX. They are deceptive and the whole program sounds like a scam.
