Consumer Complaint: On XXXX XXXX XXXX I received an alert from XXXX credit alert that an account was placed in collection by Waypoint Resource Group XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX , XXXX XXXX phone number XXXX XXXX. The amount of the debt was {$340.00} the original creditor name was XXXX XXXX XXXX. This company failed to notify or contact me pertaining to the debt to allow me the opportunity to dispute the debt, but instead reported to the credit bureau causing a negative impact on my credit score. This is the third company that tried to collect the debt for XXXX with each one sending the debt back to XXXX for validation. XXXX is attempting to charge for debt that I do not know they charge a month in advance for their services I was not at the property XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX, moved out XX/XX/XXXX. XXXX was supposed to provide me service at my new address XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX, but due to the fact that my daughter had already had service in the home already, they waited intill the day before the install date in XX/XX/XXXX to inform me that they could not install the service for me the day the connection was supposed to take place. XXXX is trying to charge for service that I did not receive. My XXXX account has always been paid up one time and there is no balance owed to XXXX.
