Consumer Complaint: I checked my credit report and noticed there was a new collection account from MDS listed on my report and immediatly called the company and provided them with my request for information via fax as wells as vi mail. My request was for specific information pertaining to the account they indicated belonged to me. My request asked for the information authorizing the company to collect the debt from the original creditor, a copy of the agreement I signed with the original creditor, the date they acquired the debt with the original debtor as well as other pertinent information pertaining to the account they have. I sent a copy of my identification to prove who I am. In my request I demanded that if this information is not provided that they cease and desist all further collection efforts and remove every negative report they have made in regards to this account to all credit reporting agencies immediately and indefinitely. My request was for the company to comply with FCRA guidelines as well as HIPAA. The company failed to comply thus far and have only sent me a billing statement and a copy of the charges they are alleging belong to me. The information they sent does not bear any of my personal information as it relates to that on my credit report yet they have failed to remove all reporting and have sent me a bill. I have copies of every letter I sent as well as confirmation of my detailed letter/request from the USPS which shows they have received my request but have failed to comply with FCRA/HIPAA
