Consumer Complaint: I have received telephone calls from an ” unknown number ” to my cell phone every day for the past two weeks, at varying times of the day. When I answer the phone and ask who is calling, I am told that it is XXXX from Ally bank, looking for [ my sister ‘s name ]. The individual states that my sister and her boyfriend are clients and they are not answering their phones ; the bank is trying to reach them. They stated that they found my cell phone number via a ” public database ”. I have asked for my telephone number to be removed from their list, and stated that this number is not associated with my sister, yet they continue to call.
