Consumer Complaint: I never received formal documentation that Navient obtained my Stafford Loans and I never got to choose a repayment plan and never was notified that my loan repayment had begun. As a result, I am MANY months late and faced a huge credit score hit ( Down 150 points ) recently. If I had known about Navient collecting my loan i would have had no problem paying it off but now I’m way behind and my credit score is way worse. When I told Navient to send me any documentation of me agreeing to the term of the loans or my repayment options they told me I to go to StudentLoans.gov and look those up for myself which doesn’t seem right.
The total of the loans is {$22000.00} and the repayment began in XX/XX/2018 but I first learned of this only a couple of weeks ago.
