Consumer Statement:

I signed up for a debt consolidation with 6 credit cards. the customer service dept calculated my debt along with their fees and began to take out $400 every two weeks. After about a year, I decided to take out 2 cards on the programs and left 4. they recalculated the amount and began to take out $289 every 2 weeks. I started the program in August 2016 and it was a 2-year program. It was supposed to end August 2018 and my last payment was being taken till October 2018. Then I was told I still have to pay $1700 because they did not calculate the correct amount.

Consumer Action Taken:

They never took responsibility for their error and whenever I try to speak to a supervisor, I am told that they will contact me and they never do. The customer representatives do not have a clue what they are talking about either. The agent keeps saying I owe more because I had 3 payments returned but I tried to explain that they ended up taking the payment out of my checking account, and even if they didn’t, the 3 payments do not add up to $1700.
