Consumer Complaint: I originated a private student loan from Sallie Mae, that is now Navient. I have been unable to pay the company, they would not allow for any further deferrance or a forbearance, at the time. The debt has now been sent to collections. On two occasions, I have recieved information that people associated with family members, who are not a spouse of me or the cosigner, have been contacted by the company regarding the debt. I am not sure how the company got the information of these individuals because they are not involved with the debt, and were never listed as contacts or references on the loan.
