Consumer Complaint: I am disputed this account which was originally owned by XXXX XXXX the original creditor. This loan was paid off in full. Once the location was closed I start receiving letters from the new company XXXX XXXX that informed me I owed a debt. I informed them that the account had already been paid and please fix it. Months later I see that XXXX XXXX the collection agency had acquired the account and is negatively reporting this on my credit report. I have asked that the validation of debt be received twice and have not received an response. According to the FCRA they have violated my rights and are damaging my credit file by reporting inaccurate and untruthful information.
