Question:
Dear Steve,
I moved to Central America a few years ago and all was well until I lost a large sum of money on a scam and owed some 70K in CC debt.
They are all closed now but have heard nothing from them since a year ago and I may be able to finally help repay some of that debt at least but don’t want to be arrested when I arrive back in the states (first time back since I defaulted).
How do I prevent that and how do I find out who to contact for each of the three cards (Visa, Master, and AMEX)
I was sent letters during the late period but nothing from collection agencies that I know of.
What do I do?
Bruce
