Consumer Complaint: In XX/XX/2010 I had a ambulance ride to XXXX hospital. They mailed my bill to the wrong address and I could not submit it to my health insurance to be covered. They sent the bill to a debt collector called XXXX XXXX XXXX. This company was horribly managed and was almost impossible to communicate with or even get ahold of. After many months of trying to reach them to work out a payment plan I was finally able to get ahold of them and agreed to pay {$50.00} a month. I paid {$50.00} a month up until the Attorney General of Colorado shut them down for fraud. It appears they sold off the debt to Wakefield & Associates before officially closing doors. A quick XXXX search will confirm exactly how shady this company was if you had any doubts.

After my debt was sold to Wakefield & Associates. They went to court without my approval or knowledge and achieved wage garnishment for an amount that is almost double of my original bill. My summer employer XXXX agreed to the wage garnishment and has took % 25 of my paychecks this year.

The Debt is well past the Statue of limitation for a medical debt, Which is 3 years in the state of Colorado. It is also illegal to collect on a debt that has been collected upon through wage garnishment.
Received an issue to go to the court within 14 days to get an appeal from the clerk, and could use help in removing this debt from my record.
